Amanda Crump is the new Environmental Horticulture Farm Advisor in Fresno County.  Amanda who is originally from Idaho, received an undergraduate degree from the University of Idaho, and a Master of Science degree in Plant Pathology and Weed Science from Colorado State University.  Between degrees, Amanda lived in Germany where she worked for the American Red Cross and Central Texas College.  She moved to the Central Valley in 2007 and had been working for the USDA-Agricultural Research Service while teaching classes at California State University, Fresno and Reedley College. 
Amanda looks forward to working with individuals in the landscape, ornamental horticulture, and turf industries.  Her program will include extension and research in these areas and she will supervise the county’s Master Gardener Program.  Amanda can be reached at acrump@ucdavis.edu or 456-7554.
